A spokeswoman for Grady Health System, a Level One trauma center in Atlanta, about an hour away from Wonder, confirmed to CNN that the hospital received one gunshot wound from the incident and was transported by helicopter.

The Barrow County School System, which ranks as the 24th largest school district in the state, serves approximately 15,340 students. Apalachee High School alone has an enrollment of 1,932 students, according to the district’s website.
